Call for a free, 15 minute phone consultation to discuss which of the following options might best suit your needs.
Consultation and design services for the do-it-yourselfer provide you with
- A customized plan detailing how to efficiently and effectively proceed with your gardening efforts, working with short term and long range strategies
- Layout ideas for optimal use of space to accommodate growing areas and other related features, such as compost structures, cold frames, chicken coops, etc., all with aesthetics in mind
- Information on best fruit and vegetable varieties based on your site and personal preferences

Installation services can help get your nutrient-rich garden beds in place so that you can start getting seeds and plants into the ground.
Planting, maintenance, and harvesting services are also available to those who don’t have the time or inclination to deal with weeds, insects, or outdoor conditions. You can enjoy fresh, weekly harvests placed conveniently in a cooler at your back door.
Wild Iris Living is also working with households in the Old Town West neighborhood that desire to participate in a Neighborhood Supported Agriculture (NSA) program. In this arrangement, a large amount of food is grown with the property owner receiving a share, and the grower (Wild Iris Living) receiving a share as compensation for the work that is done. The homeowner need not participate in the garden work. The share that Wild Iris Living receives will be sold to local residents and markets to recover labor and material costs. A share will also be donated to the Food Bank for Larimer County. The participants in this program not only receive fresh, organic produce, but derive satisfaction from contributing to an environmentally sustainable, local food movement.
General information
Garden beds can consist of earthen beds or easy to access, framed raised boxes. For best results, a site with at least six hours of direct sunlight is required. The square footage will be determined by the number of people in your household, your preference of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and cut flowers, and whether you just desire to have fresh produce during the growing season or intend to preserve any of your harvest.
Season-extending features, such as cold frames and simple tunnel or hoop structures can help increase your annual harvests. A drip system and timer is recommended to help with water conservation.
Wild Iris Living can custom design any of the above services to keep things simple and manageable for you.
